Richardo was the real gem of this stay. He took time to explain the island’s sights and when to visit them, arranged dinner reservations and was always available for questions. Thank you, Richardo! We ate at both Casa do Rei and Aldeia da Cuado, and both were amazing. The place itself was so clean, well kept and had everything we needed, in a great location.

Sitio da Assumada was a highlight of our stay. The gardens are beautiful, the rooms were clean and well prepared, and we could walk to town and the waterfall. That was handy, since parking and roads in town can be a bit tight. Ricardo was an incredible host, and we appreciated his suggestions for food and places to explore.

We enjoyed the quiet garden for resting in the evening and having breakfast. The apartment was tidy, nice and very complete. Ricardo, the owner, gave us great recommendations for restaurants and places to see.

Ricardo was incredibly kind and helpful, especially when our return flight was canceled because of bad weather. He also gave us lots of restaurant and activity recommendations. We tried almost all the places he suggested, and everything was delicious. The property is beautiful, with a private cottage and a lovely garden with sunbeds. The cottage is spacious and has everything you need, including a well equipped kitchen. Its location is convenient for the main waterfalls, and Faja Grande is beautiful too. We had an amazing stay at Sitio da Assumada.
