Hotel Aeromar

I slept like a baby during the couple of nights I spent here at the end of a long trip around Portugal. It's a quiet little gem near the sea and the Faro lagoon. The staff were friendly and helpful, from reception to the lovely cleaning ladies and restaurant team. I've seen people complain that the hotel is old, but after staying in quite a few hotels and apartments along Praia do Faro, I'd say this one is in better shape than most. It's also not expensive, which is worth bearing in mind when reviewing it. I'll come back.

The interior could really use an update, which is the only reason I haven't rated the place higher. Everyone we met was a pleasure to deal with and represented the Algarve well. The location is perfect.

That boiled egg at breakfast tasted sour and old. I don't know how many days it had been sitting there. When I told the waiter, he just laughed and said it happens sometimes. It left me wondering whether they have any hygiene rules or standards here. Disgusting, I can still taste it.

I visited in november 2025 and it was fine. The location is wonderful if you want to be near the beach, you just cross the street and you're there.
