It’s easy to get to the bus station, train station, and ferry from here. But there’s a very loud bar half a block away that keeps partying until 4 am. Cleanliness was so-so: the handles are sticky, and the kitchen looks as if it hasn’t been cleaned in years. The room and bathroom were okay, apart from hair everywhere.

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner is friendly, and we talked a lot while I was there. It’s clean, with the sea as the main theme inside. Without AC, the hot months could be difficult, and there’s also disco noise nearby on weekends.

The rooftop terrace has covered and open sections, so you can sit out there in any weather. The guesthouse is right in the city centre, near a lively street with bars, which is nice in the evening. Rooms are small, and there are only seven of them, with two shared toilets and showers.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shared shower room was spotless. I was welcomed really warmly at check-in, too. The location made getting around easy, with the train and bus stations, shops, and restaurants all within walking distance in central Faro. What more do you need?

We didn't stay at the guesthouse, but stopped for a simple, very good meal. The fish was lovely, and the woman serving us was sweet and attentive. I'd recommend the house wine and the Ray.
