For a simple, affordable guest house, this is a great base. The manager and staff were so helpful and did everything they could for us. Our balcony room was lovely for catching the late afternoon sun before heading out for dinner and drinks nearby.

The room was very clean, and the staff were super friendly. The big draw is the central spot, just a few minutes on foot from shops, restaurants, bars, the harbour, old town and train station. The accommodation is very basic, but for the price you get a private bathroom, so it worked out well.

I was new to Faro and Portugal and wasn't sure what to expect, but I was happy with my stay. The room was very clean, with two single beds, a TV and a nice bathroom. There's no minibar, so for tea or coffee you can use the machine in the common area or visit one of the many cafés nearby, open from morning until late. The hotel is easy to reach on foot, about five minutes from the train and bus stations, and close to the marina for evening sunsets. Reception is staffed around the clock, and the service was very good. They tried to help with anything we needed. I didn't pay much for the night and didn't expect a lot, but I'd happily stay again in Faro and recommend it.

I chose this guesthouse because it's near lovely places and good restaurants. The receptionists were kind and helpful to foreign visitors, the one positive I can mention. The room was tiny, with just enough space for the bed and no table for my things. Noise from other people came straight through, with no soundproofing, and I barely slept.
