The owner is very kind and helpful, and the home itself feels cozy. The room is small but comfortable, with a shared bathroom. From the eleventh floor there’s a great view, and the shopping centre is literally a minute away. A handy place to stay in Faro, with every attraction about ten minutes away.

I can’t recommend this place at all. There was an unpleasant smell as soon as we arrived, and the kitchen utensils were dirty and didn’t look like they’d been used recently. The shower curtain was grimy, orange along the bottom from damp and lack of cleaning, and the furniture and decor were dusty and neglected. While staff were cleaning one of the bedrooms, they used the shared kitchen and hallway, disregarding the privacy of those of us still staying in the apartment. Families with small children should also be aware that our assigned room had a terrace with wooden benches along the edge. On one bench it would be easy to hit your head on the AC unit, and a child’s carelessness could turn the holiday tragic. I absolutely don’t recommend this accommodation.

The room I stayed in was spacious, had its own bathroom and AC, and opened onto a terrace with great views of the salt flats and Faro Airport. It’s part of a large apartment split into several rooms, with a shared kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped with a fridge, washing machine, microwave, oven, coffee maker and toaster. Faro is about 2.5 km away. Right next door, though, is one of the area’s largest shopping centres, with a big supermarket, food court and lots of shops.

The big bedroom had AC, which was essential, and a lovely balcony where we could watch a wonderful sunset. The apartment was clean, organised and really well equipped. It had everything: a stove, toaster, coffee maker, all the dishes, microwave, oven, drying rack and washing machine. Coffee and some drinks were free too. Really good. I’d stay again 😉
