Clean, well-equipped rooms, a swimming pool, and cheerful, helpful staff. Nice hotel. We’ll be back.

We had a great ten-night stay, though I suppose it depends on what you expect. It’s a quiet, comfortable place away from the busy city centre, and would suit someone who doesn’t enjoy noisy, crowded tourist spots. Our room was basic but had what we needed, including a handy little fridge, a large comfortable double bed, a bathroom and a big balcony. It was very clean. The cleaners came almost every day to change the sheets and clean the floor and bathroom, even when it didn’t really need doing, which was nice. The AC was the one letdown, as it didn’t cool the room enough. The staff were polite, kind and helpful. We had no trouble leaving our backpacks at the hotel after checkout so we could have one last walk before our flight. I also didn’t see anyone having trouble getting into the pool. It’s a quiet neighbourhood, about a 30-minute walk from the airport and 50 minutes from Faro city centre. Aldi, local shops and restaurants are about ten minutes away. Breakfast is continental and the same every day. You can skip it for a day or two and eat elsewhere if you get bored. I liked that you could book and pay by the day, as long as you booked the night before. It costs 8 euros, which I think is fair.

We ended up here for two nights after our flight was cancelled. The rooms are very simple but clean, and the pool is huge. We had a lovely, relaxing day there. The place could use some renovation and a fresh coat of paint, but we were happy with our stay. The service was incredible. We booked at 10 p.m. and arrived soon after. Pedro welcomed us, checked us in and made us feel at home. He was so helpful: he printed our receipts and new boarding passes, and booked a taxi back to the airport.

The staff deserve six stars. We stayed a couple of nights and found the rooms clean and tidy, with plenty of space and comfortable beds. They’re basic, but that worked fine for us.
