Domus Pacis Fatima Hotel

Breakfast was amazing, with plenty of fresh food, and the restaurant was spotless. The staff there were very friendly. But the dark, dreary rooms and decor really let the hotel down. There were no tea making facilities, and the shower water wasn't always warm. It needs to feel a bit more upmarket. There were holy pictures in every room, and the church was right at reception. It felt more like a place for nuns and priests than a hotel. I'm Catholic, but I personally felt the religious decor invaded my space. I went to rest and enjoy Fatima and the Basilica, which I did, then wanted to return somewhere I could relax in my own space. I'd rather choose to go to mass or a holy place when I want to.

I'm enjoying my stay here. The food is amazing and the customer service is top notch. It's only a few minutes from the Basilica. Why is this a 3 star hotel? It deserves more.

The staff were exceptionally hospitable, and the restaurant had plenty of room for group meals. Food was delicious and fairly priced, and the rooms were cozy and spotless after a day of pilgrimage. It's close to Fathima Church, with a Chapel and conference room on site that suited pilgrims well. A lovely stay, and I'd happily come back.

The customer service was the worst part. When I politely asked if they could check why the room was so cold or move us, the staff had an angry, helpless attitude. I checked out and don't recommend the place. I booked January 24-28-2025. On arrival, the room was nearly freezing, and it took the whole night to warm up. The beds were small, more suited to kids, and the mattresses were in poor condition. The old carpet and drapes, dim lighting, low tech, tiny TV, and broken telephone all added to it. The hallways were cold and dark, a little spooky at night, with strange noises from the old pipes maybe.
