Casa de Ladrido

The pool, barbecue, spacious dining room and activity room make this a really complete place to stay. It’s peaceful and made for relaxing. On a scale of five, I’d give it six. Fantastic!

We nearly missed out on this house for our planned holiday week, so I’m really glad we got to stay. The outdoor area is lovely, and the pool is kept in great shape. Sr. Raul is always checking on it and keeping it clean. The couple are very friendly, too. Inside, it’s clean and smells fresh when you arrive, with everything you need for cooking and good hygiene. There’s a great games room with table tennis, darts and a PlayStation, plus a bike and treadmill for anyone who wants to exercise. If you’re looking for a quiet week without rushing around to lots of places, this is ideal. You just need to do the shopping, everything else is there. Take care of it and enjoy.

Raoul was kind, attentive and quick to respond, and even gave us restaurant suggestions. He cleaned the pool very early or late so he wouldn’t disturb us during the day. We stayed for 10 days and had a mid-stay visit from a cleaning company, which changed the sheets and towels and gave the house a thorough clean. The house itself was impeccably clean, well equipped, and surrounded by beautifully kept grounds. Thanks for making our holiday so lovely with your kindness and magnificent house. We’d keep this address in mind if we get the chance to return to Portugal.

The location is beautiful, and the house has every comfort you could ask for. The stay ended on a very unpleasant note, though. The owner phoned to accuse us of taking the bath towels, which were hanging on the bedroom door. It was a pretty absurd and unpleasant way for the experience to end.
