The owner is a lovely woman who clearly cares about her guests, and her service really stood out. We were four cyclists, me, my husband, and my two brothers, on the N2 trip, and Solar dos Frades was easily our favourite stop. Even though it's right in the town centre, the place feels quiet, private, and peaceful. After a long, hot day riding, we had drinks by the pool, then walked a short way to O Portão, the owner's recommendation and a popular spot with locals, for a fantastic dinner. We all slept like babies in the very comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious, and a soak in the jacuzzi was a perfect treat before getting back on the bikes. We all said we'd return. The owner really deserves to do well; she knows what good service means.

We loved staying here with our dog. The whole hotel is genuinely dog friendly, and every staff member was welcoming and kind to our pet. For us, the heated pool and jacuzzi, very comfortable bed, modern room decor, and delicious breakfast made the stay great too. One of the best dog friendly luxury hotels in Alentejo. Highly recommend for couples or families travelling with dogs of any size.

Patricia and the two women on staff were the best. They were so friendly, made me feel at home, and did their best to meet my requests and needs. I was travelling around Portugal by motorcycle with two friends, and felt really lucky to have found this place and these people. Everything was new and clean, and the service was great. They made me feel special, and I'd definitely stay there again on another trip to Portugal.
