This was easily my worst experience. My Booking reservation showed one price, but when I arrived at the hotel they asked me to pay almost twice as much. Then the bathroom flooded completely when I took a shower. They didn’t even offer me a late checkout or a refund. I’d booked a hotel so I could rest after a wedding, but I might as well have driven the 200 km back home.

I wanted to book just accommodation because I won’t wake up in time for breakfast, but they don’t offer that option. Breakfast costs €5.50 per person, so the two of us would be paying €11 a day for a service we wouldn’t use. I called the hotel four times using both the landline and mobile number, but nobody answered, so I was left trying to reach them by email.

The location is great, which makes it a shame that this feels like a 3-star hotel rather than a 4-star one. The pool and gym are definite pluses, but the bathtub is rusty, the bar is empty, and the rooms aren’t cleaned thoroughly.

The room TV was hard to watch, and the Spanish channel was the one with the least trouble. Apart from that, everything was extremely clean and the receptionist was very friendly.

The beach nearby is very long and had hardly anyone on it. The hotel itself was clean and quiet, and the staff were really friendly, a peaceful spot for relaxing.
