I visited in the off season, so it was pretty quiet, but Nina and Daniela, the hostesses, made it memorable. We had great conversations, played a couple of games of pool, and enjoyed a nice breakfast in the morning. The place has a welcoming family-home feel, and I was sad to leave. Hope our paths cross again. The hostel's vibe is beyond what I expected, with thoughtful design and staff who are wonderful. It was such a pleasant surprise.

Close to everything, clean, social, and full of good energy. One of the best hostels I've stayed in! The lovely volunteers really make the stay special, and my favorite, Che, had me smiling from the first moment we spoke 🥰

We had a fun night out in the city, then a relaxed movie night in the cozy movie room. The hostel can arrange surfing classes too. It was clean and comfortable, with a friendly, laid-back staff, just what I wanted from a hostel. The owners even came over to say hello and were very kind. I had an absolute blast at the Paintshop Hostel and would definitely recommend it. Thanks for everything, Pat and the rest of the staff 🙏

The family who run the place are wonderful, and they bring in great staff who keep the atmosphere warm. We stayed for a week as a family of five, with kids aged 5-7, in a family room with its own bathroom. It felt like home. Breakfast was really good, and staff shared tips on where to eat and shop. They also arranged surf lessons when we asked and provided transport there. There were fun parties to watch the Euro Football finals. Town is an easy 10-15 minute walk away, so we didn't need transport except for surfing.

Debbie and Steve welcomed us so warmly from the start, and the place felt safe and homely, with a great set up. They offer beach umbrellas and towels, and there's free breakfast. Check-in was easy and welcoming. You can tell they've thought through every detail to make the stay a good one. Great hostel, highly recommend.
