A lovely place for a few days, with cosy, spacious, modern houses and great hospitality. It feels magical, tucked away in the middle of nowhere. The pool is perfect for cooling off in the summer heat, and it’s 10/10 for kids.

I booked online, but when I arrived nobody was there. That was okay. I called the number on the gate and asked if they spoke English. The answer was “Não fala inglês,” which was okay too. What wasn’t okay was them hanging up when I started trying to speak Portuguese. No “sorry,” no “bye.”

8/10
The cabins are large and clean, with enormous bathrooms and firm, comfortable beds. I wished there had been a comfortable sofa or chairs, and some outdoor furniture so we could eat outside on a lovely evening. There is a shared table by the BBQ area, though. The mosquitoes were savage and relentless. Even so, it’s superb value for money in a lovely rural setting.

One of the best places I’ve visited in Portugal. So peaceful, with really nice accommodation and super friendly, polite people. I’d definitely come back.

Really nice and cosy, with a good air conditioning system and such warm staff. The only downside was the rather weak WiFi signal.
