The owner cancelled our Booking reservation just two days before we were due to arrive. Since it was high season, finding somewhere else was almost impossible. It might be a nice place, but I can’t recommend it. Be aware!

Our reservation was cancelled by the owner less than a week before we were due to arrive in Funchal. She had first tried to arrange a deal with us outside booking.com for a different house. We didn't want to accept a worse place than the one we'd paid for, so she cancelled. From what I've read here, this happens often. Be careful.

The houses have great facilities, and I really recommend staying there. They're excellent.
