Alex was such a warm, welcoming and gracious host. She made the place feel like home, communicated perfectly throughout our stay, and even recommended a great haircut place and helped us book an appointment. Thank you, Alex, for such a lovely welcome to Madeira :) We had a fabulous stay in the heart of Funchal. It’s just right for a couple or someone travelling solo, and the central location makes exploring the old town easy. Even so, it was quiet at night, which made the evenings really relaxing.

We loved it. The property was clean, bright, tidy and modern, with good air conditioning, strong shower pressure and a lovely outdoor seating and garden area. We stayed for two nights right in the middle of the old town, with restaurants, bars and cafes on the doorstep and the beach nearby. The market, seafront and cable car are all five minutes away.

The host was really helpful. The place is in the old town, close to bars and restaurants, yet it was very quiet.
