The code check-in was easy, and the host replied quickly. It does get lively outside at night, but the comfort and handy location made up for that. The apartment was spotless and modern, with everything I needed. Right in central Funchal, close to cafés, the market, and the cable car. I’d happily stay at Edifício Charles again.

The balcony had a fantastic view, and the location was excellent. Everything was clean, fresh, and roomy, with a first aid kit in the bathroom and password locks on the rooms. It was also much cheaper than the other options I looked at.

Getting in and out was easy, and the price was very competitive. The rooms look modern and lovely, though cleaning was infrequent: during our 8 days, they were cleaned just once. The location is the real highlight, right in central Funchal near the port, a great base for exploring Madeira.

We ran into an unexpected situation, and the host was understanding and helped us through it. Communication was really good. Thanks again!

The room came with a little fridge, air conditioning, cutlery, and a kettle, and the bathroom was roomy. I also had a small balcony facing the square. Check-in was straightforward, and the room was clean. It’s centrally located, and we could leave our luggage inside after checking out. The air conditioning was especially welcome on hot days.
