Hotel Enotel Lido

We spent Christmas here and had a lovely stay. The rooms are a good size, cleaned daily, and have amazing views of the hotel and ocean. There are refill stations around the hotel for the reusable water bottles, which helps cut down on plastic. The food was really good, with plenty of choice and drinks. The hotel was spotless, and all the staff were friendly and attentive. Its location is perfect for coastal walks, with stunning ocean views. We’ll come back next Christmas.

The food was good every day, nicely presented, and topped up regularly instead of being left under hot lamps. There are several restaurants to choose from, with different meals each day, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to clear tables. Bar drinks were better than at most hotels I’ve stayed at, and the staff asked how I wanted mine made. We liked the reusable water bottles in the rooms and the hotel’s clear efforts to reduce waste. The rooms were a good size with comfortable beds and TVs, though I could find only one English-language channel. From arrival on, the staff were polite, and the hotel was clean and well maintained. We had an enjoyable stay and look forward to returning to Enotel Lido.

We’ve stayed at Enotel Lido every year for many years, and plan to keep coming back. We visit Madeira for our wedding anniversary and my wife’s birthday, and the team makes both occasions feel extra special each time. The service is excellent from the welcome at reception. The food is great, and the spacious rooms have balconies and excellent sea views. Any issues during a stay are dealt with quickly by management and the team.

The rooms and food were great, and the all-inclusive package includes some amazing speciality restaurants. My only complaint is the shows. Just one of them was awesome, and it was the one with local people; the rest were only okay. That one show made up for it, though. Highly recommend!
