Hotel Savoy Palace - The Leading Hotels of the World - Savoy Signature

We enjoyed the resort and its great location, with restaurants and other places within walking distance. I’d come back, hoping service in some areas improves. The service where we stayed, on the side with extra pool, entrance, and breakfast perks, was A+. Everyone was wonderful to deal with, and whoever oversees that part of the hotel is doing a great job. Elsewhere, service felt pretty average for such a beautiful property, especially at the main pool and restaurant. I’m not difficult, so I was surprised by the lack of service. It almost felt like there were two different GMs, one running things really well and the other side needing attention. I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could. Thanks for having us!

We hadn’t planned to stay here, but changed hotels after a bad experience elsewhere and booked at the last minute. Only two rooms were left, and the staff were kind and helpful. The adult rooftop pool is wonderful, with amazing views, and the bar upstairs is a nice spot to watch the city lights come on. There’s also a huge pool with plenty of seating. We didn’t eat at the hotel, so can’t comment on the food. Lots of restaurants, shops and other places are within a 20-minute walk. A good outcome for a last-minute booking.

Every part of the place is gorgeous, and staying here felt truly special. I travel a lot for work, and this is one of the best places I’ve had the pleasure of staying. The staff were so helpful and friendly, whether at the restaurants, pool areas, or even in the hallways.

We stayed for eight nights and have no regrets. The rooms, views, and service are amazing, and it’s easy to park. The hotel is expensive, but definitely feels like a five-star place and is close to everything in Funchal. The view from Galaxia Skybar was amazing. We also watched the Atlantico Fireworks festival from there. Thank you, Savoy Palace! I totally recommend it.
