Suite Hotel Jardins Da Ajuda

The rooms could use an update, but they’re reliably clean, which matters most to me. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times and genuinely like it. The staff are welcoming and very helpful, and make each visit feel personal. When I came with small children, having a little kitchenette in the room made preparing their meals easy. That was a huge plus for us. I wasn’t impressed with the hotel breakfast, but it’s a minor drawback since there are plenty of places nearby for a tasty, affordable breakfast. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

For what you pay, I expected more help from reception, and I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. In my opinion, this isn’t a four-star hotel. The rooms are spacious, but the beds are hard as rock, and the sofa cama was falling apart. I was in room 444, where the windows didn’t block street noise. Cars, pedestrians and animals kept us hearing things all night. I complained and asked to move, but was told the hotel was full and another room wouldn’t be available for two nights. When I asked for the manager, I was told he was away. I found the receptionist a bit rude and unhelpful. The only good thing for me was the swimming pools. Sorry, that’s my honest opinion. It definitely wasn’t worth the price.

Everything was well arranged and relaxing at Jardins d’Ajuda. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff very friendly, and the location excellent. I’d definitely stay there again.

The restaurant food was impressive, and the location was handy for buses, a great shopping mall and some nice restaurants. But I didn’t rate this supposedly four-star hotel. The hot tub had green stuff around the 'taps', and the changing room was cramped with no privacy. The showers were tight, there was nowhere to sit, and the whole area felt a bit dirty. I didn’t use it again. The room felt dark and old too. Outside the reception and restaurant, the place didn’t have a modern, clean feel.
