The Marketplace Apartments

The location is spot on, right among the restaurants and shops. It's a three-minute walk to the supermarket and fruit market, and the front is only three minutes away too. Our apartment was lovely, clean, comfortable and well equipped. We'll definitely use them again.

This is a clean, comfortable one-bedroom apartment, and the staff were helpful and quick to respond. It's not a traditional hotel with a lobby and restaurant: the doors use codes, and breakfast is delivered to your door. It includes a bit of everything, though there was more bread and little cakes than I prefer. The location is terrific for getting around on foot: the cable car, shops, restaurants, Cathedral, waterfront and lovely parks are all walkable. A grocery store is half a block away and has paid parking too. I highly recommend Marketplace and expect we'll stay here again.

Check-in and checkout were straightforward using the instructions, and they kindly offered to store our luggage during the day after checkout, which was a big help. The apartment was modern, clean and well equipped, including useful things like a bottle opener, washing-up liquid and a sponge. It's in a good spot near the market and Funchal center, and just a short walk from the Aerobus stop. We were very impressed and would stay again.

Christine from storytellers was incredibly helpful, and the cleaning staff were amazing. Every day they cleaned the spotless apartment, made the bed, emptied the bins and replenished the towels, tea and coffee. We spent a lovely nine days at Marketplace Apartments. The centrally located apartment was spacious and well equipped, and we couldn't fault it.
