The Views Baia - Adults Only

We already booked three Lavada turs through the hotel, which was really easy, and we’re looking forward to another weekend here until the 9th of February. It’s a top-view, adults-only hotel with plenty going for it. Our sea-view room was quiet and we couldn’t hear the road once the door was shut. The indoor pool was a real treat, hot and spacious, with lots to do around the pool area. We also liked the restaurant food, which was good and fairly priced. The massage was super relaxing, maybe not the best I’ve ever had, but definitely not bad.

As a woman travelling alone and of a certain age, I felt safe, welcome, and valued here. I had such a lovely first visit to your beautiful Madeira, and can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. The room was gorgeous, right down to the pillow menu, and everything felt clean, relaxed, and luxurious. The place is beautiful and professionally run, with care put into the details. Breakfast was amazing, and the pool and spa were top quality. Every member of staff, from the cleaners to the managers, was friendly, informed, trustworthy, and professional. The team made our stay feel personal from start to finish. They were warm and professional, and every request was met with a real smile. On my birthday, a bottle of champagne was unexpectedly delivered to my room. What a lovely surprise! We spent hours at the pristine pool, and the spa was a calm place to unwind after exploring Madeira. The fitness centre was modern and well equipped. The views really live up to the name: from the balcony and pool area we could see across the bay, and at night the lights of Funchal with the Atlantic beyond looked amazing. The meals were a highlight too, from the wide selection of fresh food at breakfast to the dinner menus. The local ingredients and presentation were impressive. This was an unforgettable stay, and we can’t wait to come back to The Views Baia.

We had a very spacious studio, and the spa is free to enter and really nice. The outdoor pool area was lovely, breakfast was very good, and there was live music in the cocktail bar every evening. Service was great, and the hotel is good value overall. Getting into the centre on foot takes effort because the hotel is uphill. Parking around Funchal is challenging, though the hotel has its own parking, and there are buses, Uber, and a shuttle. A couple of things could be better. The spa only has one cooler. The shower head was old, had just one setting, and the water stream was too strong. We woke up to lots of ants in the room. After asking for it to be cleaned, we still saw some now and then. I don’t know if other parts of the hotel had the same issue.
