Vila Vicencia

The beds were uncomfortable, the pillows were like bricks, and when we asked for extras, they wouldn’t give us any. We also had to plead for nearly ten minutes to get two more towels, and staff got upset when we asked. In the morning, my husband tried to bring me a cup of tea because I was sick, but they refused. I don’t think I’ve ever had such poor customer service. There was mold in our bathroom, and the room smelled strongly of dust, mustiness, and smoke. Don’t stay here if you want a clean room without mold, a comfortable bed, and decent service.

The staff are such lovely people, and I can’t praise them enough. The service was amazing and the location was great. The hotel is super cute, though one of the buildings is dated. It’s a pity, since that’s the only thing keeping the experience from being perfect.

I stayed for a week in July, and the indoor pool and jacuzzi tub were the highlight for me. The water was just the right temperature. Breakfast did the job, with a different hot option each day: scrambled, hard-boiled, or fried eggs, plus bacon or sausages. The hotel’s setting looks just as good as the photos. I wish more places were like this instead of big multistory blocks. 10/10, would recommend.

Having breakfast under the tropical fruit trees was a delight. This lovely little hotel sits just off the main road, with beautiful gardens, a nice room, a great breakfast, and perfect staff. The gardens have a pleasant outdoor pool, plus there’s a heated indoor pool and jacuzzi.
