The bathroom tiles around the shower weren't clean, and the showerhead was rusty and unpleasant to use. Be very careful with the hot water, it comes out boiling and could easily cause burns. The house and location have potential, but the place felt run like a cash grab with no attention to the guest. There is no stove, oven, or microwave, and no climate control, not even a basic fan for the region's frequent hot days. The fridge is tiny, with barely room for a few cans, some fruit, and a bottle of water.

Set in an isolated, very quiet spot, this little rustic house is in a small village near Fundão. A good place to unwind for a few days and forget all about time.

I can only give it one star because zero isn't an option. The listing is misleading, and how it even has a license to rent is a mystery. I've stayed in several rural places, but never one this bad. There was no hot water and no TV, the dishes were broken, and the bed had a very weak mattress resting on boards, among other problems. We left at the end of the second day. We were meant to stay eight days, but the place wasn't fit for that 👿👿👿👿
