We were a family group of 14, with people of all ages, and Sofia and family made us feel so welcome. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the countryside setting is beautiful. It's a lovely place to slow down and enjoy a rural holiday. If you're after restaurants and nightclubs, this isn't the spot. For nature, countryside, and local visits, I'd highly recommend it. Thanks, we'll be back!

We spent 5 nights at the villa with our closest friends for our wedding, and everyone was wowed by the place. The villa is stunning, the area is gorgeous, and the whole Herdade Da Maxuqueira team was a joy to work with. Sofia connected us with local vendors and made planning a wedding abroad feel stress free. I can't recommend Herdade da Maxuqueira more.

I wouldn't recommend it in winter. The stay was uncomfortable because the facilities weren't heated or climate controlled well, there was too much humidity, and water ran down the bedroom walls.

I really liked the location and the surrounding area, as well as the renovation and decor. They fit perfectly with the setting.

A great wedding venue. As wedding photographers, we always love shooting here because it lets us get excellent photos. The whole place has so much charm, with a rustic, relaxed, and very welcoming feel. All our clients who got married here were very happy. We highly recommend it.
