A comfortable and unique stay, with fantastic views of the Targus River below and Castelo Belver above. The friendly, helpful staff provided clean, comfortable rooms and a satisfying breakfast.

The breakfast was a real highlight: fresh orange juice, good bread, fruit, cake, coffee, and milk. The house was clean and cosy, with a nice pool area. It’s also an easy walk to the town center, a few restaurants, and the castle. The views over Rio Tejo and the castle are magnificent.

The river Tajo and Castelo views are marvelous, and breakfast was extraordinary for Portugal. Rooms are spacious and tidy, with a nice bathroom, and the Quinta has good facilities. There’s a restaurant beside the B&B and two bars in the village. The host speaks only Portuguese, but is very friendly. A very nice place for a day or a longer stay.

It’s a peaceful little village, and there’s just one castle, Castle Belver. Unfortunately, the guard never arrived to open the gate. ☹
