Villa Várzea

Villa Verzea exceeded our expectations during our two days in a suite. The quiet village setting, surrounded by fields, was lovely, and everything from the service to the cleanliness was fantastic. Breakfast was amazing. For an easy day hike, you can walk to Ferraria and Mosteiros. There's also a booklet with tips on the route and recommended restaurants, which we found really useful and informative.

We slept really well in the very comfortable bed and liked everything about our stay. The room was large and beautiful, with a slightly fairy-tale feel. It had a huge bathroom, a spacious bedroom, and a separate kitchen with a microwave, fridge, and all the dishes we needed. The building is small, so it felt quiet and cozy, and the lovely garden made the atmosphere even nicer. Check-in was contactless and easy. There's a small grocery store nearby and a couple of cafes serving Portuguese food. We didn't have a car, but the room had a guidebook with detailed information about getting around and finding things, plus local taxi numbers that you can contact on WhatsApp. We had no trouble getting around and would confidently recommend this place. We stayed in the barn nest and loved the views of green rolling hills and cows all around the property. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was extremely cozy. Villa Várzea is tucked into the beautiful countryside of Várzea in the Azores, a real oasis in nature. I'd highly recommend spending at least one night here on a trip to the Azores, especially if you're hoping to explore Sete Cidades.

We had a great few nights in the Garden Suite at Villa Várzea on our recent trip to Sao Miguel. The location is beautiful, with great views all around, and our room was huge, lovely, and perfectly clean. The staff were kind, helpful, and accommodating.
