We had a great time relaxing in the hammock and on the sun loungers, and the pool was lovely in 35°C heat. A few wasps were in the water, which made swimming alone a little uncomfortable. The barbecue was a nice feature, too. The kitchen had plenty of plates and cutlery, so we didn’t need to buy disposable dishes. We appreciated getting three towels: one small and one large for showering, plus a large one for swimming. There’s a dishwasher and washing machine downstairs by the kitchen, so no need to wash things by hand. The one issue was that the water smelled strongly of chlorine. We bought a six-pack of water for €1.75, and that was fine. The parking area has a gate in the fence. A dog got over the fence one day, but we only saw that happen once. I recommend the place, it was very nice. 4.9 stars.

The owners gave us a fantastic welcome and left a lovely little treat for our arrival. We’re really taken with the accommodation and its excellent facilities. A great choice if you’re visiting Serra da Estrela or other places nearby.
