Madre De Água Hotel Rural De Charme

The staff were so kind that we felt right at home. The surroundings are gorgeous, with vines, horses, cats, and dogs around, which makes it a lovely spot for nature lovers. We decided to make the most of our one-night stay with wine tasting, horse riding, and a massage, and enjoyed every bit of it.

I came for the wine tasting and ended up taking a couple of bottles home because the wine was outstanding. The whole estate is beautiful, animal-friendly, and has such good vibes.

Awesome place, with friendly people who are happy to chat in English. The food and wine were superb, and the location and views are amazing.

We only had one night here, which felt far too short. The rooms were tastefully decorated, the beds very comfortable, and the shared lounge looked perfect for a winter day by the wood burner with a book and a glass of wine. Outside, we explored the vines and watched the horses and foals enjoying the spring sunshine. The staff were super friendly and efficient. While we were getting our luggage from the car, someone brought a kettle and cups for our room, where fresh water and lovely homemade biscuits were already waiting. Dinner was freshly prepared and nicely presented, and we got to try two of their own wines. The local cheese and meat amuse bouche was a special touch. Breakfast came as a lovely selection just for each table, rather than a big buffet. There was fresh fruit, meat, cheese, delicious bread, and freshly scrambled eggs if you wanted them. A very special place. Thank you for a fabulous visit.
