ibis Braga

The location made it easy to explore Braga on foot, with a main bus stop right nearby, the shopping streets and public park about five minutes away, and good access to the rest of the city. The staff were lovely and helpful, including with guests speaking other languages. Breakfast was nice, mostly lighter choices like bread, pastries, and cereal, so it may not suit you if you want a filling meal. Our clean, roomy room had a very modern bathroom. There were a few signs of age, but nothing too noticeable, and the rest of the hotel felt quite modern. We had an amazing stay and I'd absolutely recommend it.

The location worked well, and housekeeping staff were really nice, but the service and room condition disappointed me. The front desk was just okay, and even as a gold member I wasn't offered a drink. The internet was very slow. The room felt old, with a tiny TV, no way to heat water for coffee, and no proper cups or glasses. It struck me as a very cheap way to run things, without the quality I expect from Accor hotels.

The breakfast cost €9 and was great, with several kinds of bread and fruit. My room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. I stayed just one night, and the front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. Everything was excellent.

Braga's center is right at the doorstep, and the service was kind and very good. For the price, it's a great place. There were a few things missing for us: no fridge, just one chair for two people, and no clear information about Wi-Fi or how to connect if it was available.
