There’s a lovely church here and a remarkable view over Braga, especially at sunset. The bathroom was excellent, with a powerful shower and hot water, and the service was perfect. They did everything they could to meet our needs. The beds were decent, though a bit firm, and the floor was dirty. It feels quite isolated, with just one bus an hour, one basic bar, and two restaurants. One restaurant was rather expensive and nobody spoke English; the other was more of a snack bar.

The room floor was dirty, and breakfast was just bread, ham, and cheese, with no vegetables or eggs. I don’t understand the three stars. At best, it felt more like a hostel.

The hotel was tidy, and the staff polite and professional. It’s spacious and in a pleasant spot if you want to get away from the city. There’s a beautiful church nearby and a terrace with a lovely view of Braga about five minutes away. I’d suggest going at night. Dinner and breakfast were both very good. At dinner you can order green wine made and bottled especially for the hotel, and it’s pretty good and cheap.

Our room had a balcony looking out onto the green foliage next door, and the scent of the trees was lovely. It’s a very quiet place, with literally no neighbors.

The food is amazing, and the hotel is classy and modern. There’s a spa, massage, pool, and sports facilities, and it’s close to Bom Jesus Sanctuary. A wonderful hotel.
