We’ll definitely come back. Casa da Comporta is a real treasure, and the hosts are lovely, thoughtful people who really care about their guests. I almost hate to share such a positive review in case everyone finds it. We went in early October, and I’d never visited this part of Portugal before. The house is about a five-minute bike ride from the beach, and guests can use the bikes. We went for morning swims, beach days and some beautiful sunsets. The place is decorated with care, with high-end furnishings and lots of personal touches. Its square layout wraps around a large atrium terrace, with the rooms leading off it. I liked it so much I wanted to rebuild my own house that way. The modern bathrooms are spacious and have great water pressure. A few steps up, there’s a rooftop pool area with comfortable loungers and sofas. It’s easy to settle in and head to the nearby beach.
