The evening receptionist, Ana, was really warm, and the breakfast lodge was cool and nicely decorated. Our glamping tent was spacious and nicely set up. We also got some good dinner recommendations for Grandola town. There were plenty of downsides, though. They weren’t very attentive to our specific requests, and breakfast choices were very limited. The glamping toilets felt more like basic camping facilities. Dry toilets weren’t the main problem, but they were open and very close to the tents, so the lack of soundproofing and the flies made things awkward and uncomfortable. Although each tent was meant to have its own showers and toilets because of COVID-19 measures, they weren’t properly separated. The pool area was badly kept, with a bare, uneven dirt slope, no grass, uncomfortable chairs, and too much dust. It wasn’t only the glamping that disappointed us. The whole hotel felt overrated.
