The rooms are lovely, and the hosts were so kind. I really loved staying here. There's heating too, which matters since it often gets really cold at night in this area.

Jose and the family were wonderfully welcoming, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable for sleeping. This farmhouse sits away from the road and feels like time has stopped. They grow the breakfast food themselves, including vegetables and fruit picked right from the trees. The bread was great, and they make their own jams too. 😘

A lovely designed place owned by a very nice family, with a river just behind it. Breakfast is very good, with local cheese, honey and bread.

The room was great, overlooking the garden, and had plenty of power outlets. Breakfast was pretty standard, with bread, ham, cheese and spreads. When we visited in late August 2018, their card machine wasn't working. We booked by phone; the person who answered didn't speak English but handed us over to someone who spoke it very well. Our hosts couldn't speak any of the languages we knew, but they were patient and happy to communicate with gestures or Google Translate.

The hosts were lovely, the rooms clean, and the price was reasonable, especially in the off season when we went. On our last day we accidentally left our passports in the room. They came all the way to find us in Manteigas and let us know, which saved the day :)
