The rooms are lovely and the staff are very friendly. It costs a bit more, but the location and quality make it worthwhile. You're right by two of Guimarães' main squares, with plenty of restaurants nearby, yet the rooms stay really quiet.

The car park is about 100 meters away, and getting there means walking over cobblestones since you can't drive up to the hotel. Once there, it's a great spot in the old town, within walking distance of lots of sights and restaurants. The rooms are new, modern, and fairly spacious, with minimalist decor but everything you need. Comfortable beds, an average shower, and friendly staff.

It's a very nice hotel, but the location is a real challenge if you're arriving by car. You can't pull up to drop off your luggage, so you have to park and carry everything from the lot. I'd rather stay somewhere with proper parking.

We loved the library room, the adorable gnomes, and the comfy seats where we could enjoy coffee. The hotel was spotless, the staff friendly and helpful, and the room spacious with soft lighting. The mattress, bedding, towels, and bathrobe were incredibly comfortable, and breakfast was fantastic. Right on the Square, with great restaurants a short walk away. We plan to return and highly recommend it.

For a quieter room, ask for one facing the hotel's main entrance. The rooms overlooking the square can be a bit noisier, even with the double windows and wooden shutters. The hotel's very central, and the rooms balance the building's old features with modern touches nicely. Breakfast is quite good, and try the hotel restaurant if you get a chance.
