Maybe we were spoiled by the other hotels we stayed at in the Azores, because this one didn't feel as good. It was very noisy, and the beds weren't clean or particularly comfortable. I'm sure a lot of effort has gone into the place, but it needs another look.

The staff made this stay special, especially Denise, who was kind and accommodating and kept in touch on WhatsApp to check I had what I needed. The location at Nereida worked perfectly for me, with restaurants and attractions within walking distance along the main road. I also had stunning views of the ocean and Mt. Pico. I had an amazing time and can't recommend the place enough. The staff really went out of their way and treated me like family.

It was so loud we could hear the road even with the windows shut, and opening them wasn't an option since the hotel is on the town's busiest road. We couldn't sleep because the room was around 30° and the air conditioning didn't work. After several calls, someone came to look at it and said it was fixed, but it still wasn't.

Nereida isn't the most charming hotel, but the location in Horta is handy and my room was clean and comfortable. I spent one night there and had an ocean view.
