The breakfast was extremely poor. It was first come, first served, so if you sleep until 9am you’re left fighting like seagulls for a slice of bread, with no other options, and using a very dirty toaster. The room put us at unease as soon as we arrived with my family. The bed linen had clearly not been changed, though it had been arranged to look clean. There was hair, body fluids and dirt all over it. I showed photos to reception, and they said they’d change it, but neither my parents nor I got an apology. The bathroom also had hair everywhere, and two of the four towels had already been used, then left folded and dry. Even after the linen was changed, we still felt uncomfortable. We were booked for three nights but paid for another place instead. Changing all linen for each new guest is basic hygiene and principle.

The location worked well, with parking available and a supermarket and the city center close by. Our room had a balcony that was lovely at any time of day, plus a small desk that came in handy. It was spacious and had no bathroom issues. The breakfast was good and varied, in my opinion. Everything about the stay was lovely. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has a cozy feel.

I was amazed by the accommodations at Lagoa Hostel&Suites. For a hostel, it’s extremely nice, with a very spacious bedroom, a king-size bed and a private bathroom. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is simple, but quite enough. I highly recommend it.

I stayed one night. The room was spacious, though a little noisy since it faces a cobbled street. The bathroom was nice, with a great shower. Breakfast was what you’d expect from a hostel.

Free parking was convenient and the location was okay, but there was a serious cockroach problem. Our room was infested, with cockroaches coming from the headboard. The rooms were full of mould, and you could smell it as soon as you walked in. There was no one at the front desks to contact.
