The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and had breathtaking views I'll never forget. What stayed with me just as much was the genuine hospitality: the staff seemed to anticipate what I needed, and their professionalism came with real care. From the elegant décor and flawless service to the warm smiles that made me feel like royalty, the attention to detail was second to none. I knew from the moment I arrived that this hotel was something special, and my stay was unforgettable.

I loved the privacy here. Listening to waves crash against the rocks by the fire pit under the night sky was perfect for reflecting and meditating. A lovely hideout for anyone after no crowds, noise, or rush. Privacy is a rare luxury, and they've perfected it. Well done.

The restaurant let the hotel down a bit. Vegetarian choices were limited and didn't match the menu descriptions, and some items were unavailable even for reserved dinners. The food was good, though not great. The rest was a very positive experience. I think this is one of the best hotels in Sao Miguel, with elegant rooms and an ocean-facing patio that's easily the best feature. Desk staff were responsive and could arrange plenty of requests, including activities and cabs.

The front desk made this feel less like a hotel and more like visiting friends who cared about my comfort. Joao, Sandra, Sarah, and Anna went out of their way to make everything flawless. Joao's calm, efficient professionalism set the tone, and Sandra's friendly smile made each interaction feel personal. Sara seemed a step ahead, anticipating what I needed, while Ana brought helpfulness and charm to check-out, just as delightful as check-in. They remembered my name and preferences throughout the stay, and welcomed me with genuine warmth. My room was immaculate, spacious, and tastefully decorated, luxurious without being fussy. Breakfast had a stunning range of fresh, high-quality options, with impeccable service. I've stayed at luxury hotels around the world, but few combine sophistication with such heartfelt hospitality.
