My main gripes are the toilet not working quite right, nowhere to set shampoo or soap in the shower, and a glass chopping board that dulls the knives. Still, it's not a bad deal. The location near the ocean is fantastic, and these apartments have just about everything, including a nice espresso maker. I even came across a barbecue in one of the kitchen cupboards. The apartments seem to be aimed more at local Portuguese families than tourists. Down the street there's a Spar with a lovely Cafe run by a sweet older lady. You can get cake and gelato for €3, plus espresso grounds for the machine. Just a heads-up from one American to other Americans: don't expect the toilet or shower setup to be perfect.

Our two-bedroom apartment had everything we needed. There was beach access, a restaurant on site, and the historic areas were close by.

A lovely sea-facing terrace is a highlight of this beautiful apartment. It's equipped with everything needed in the kitchen and bathroom, and would suit families well.
