Apartamentos Pinhão

Pedro, the property manager, was friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. After the walk from the train station, it was a nice surprise to find two ice-cold beers and a bottle of wine waiting for us. We also ate at the ground-floor restaurant, where the service was friendly and the grilled dorado was as fresh and expertly cooked as any fish I had in Portugal. Our stay at Apartamentos Pinhão was wonderful, and I highly recommend it. Apartment 2A had a nice balcony view, though I think the third-floor apartments would have even better ones. The apartment was bright, clean, and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed and thoughtful spots for towels, hooks, and lighting. The modern AC worked flawlessly during warm daylight hours. In early October we didn’t really need it at night, since opening the balcony door and bedroom window brought in a lovely cross-breeze. The kitchenette had what we needed for simple meals, including two burners and a microwave, along with wine glasses, coffee cups, dish detergent, and towels. It’s easy to reach the boardwalk to the cliffs, just two minutes away on foot. The beaches are a five-minute walk, Old Town Lagos is 15 minutes away, and Ponta da Piedade is 20 minutes away.

There’s a great restaurant on the ground floor, too. We really enjoyed the apartment. It was clean, within walking distance of the city center, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The host was kind and helpful, and the apartments were clean and comfortable. The beach is only steps away, and the location is just right for a stay in Lagos. I’d highly recommend it.

I only planned to stay a couple of days, but ended up spending a whole week here and found it really hard to leave. The location is great, near the beaches and town, with a great restaurant downstairs.
