We stayed a couple of years ago, around March or April in the off-season. The hotel was nearly empty, and things seemed fine until one night, when we woke to sounds on the balcony and saw someone behind the curtains. Someone was trying to get in, so we had to get out in the middle of the night. It was terrifying and traumatic. I’ve only managed to write about it now, and I’m really surprised this hotel is still around.
The place is peaceful, pleasant and secure, and the grounds are kept very tidy. The pool is cleaned daily too. It’s an excellent condo, though a bit old. I’d suggest staying more than a week so you can settle in and get a feel for it. Pingo Doce is a 10-minute walk away, and there’s a bus stop nearby, though make sure you have a current timetable. Even with kids, we walked to Lagos city centre in 10 minutes. For the price, views and quiet, it’s very good.
Old, miserable apartment complex that looks like it’s from the 80s. The place needs bulldozing; there’s nothing appealing about it. Staff were obnoxious and miserable. I’d avoid it like the plague.
A lovely base for exploring Lagos. The apartments are nice and the pool area is clean. It’s very close to the train station, and the bus station is across the bridge by the marina. I’d stick to Onda buses, since Vamus are expensive.
A great spot for a break, with wonderful views over Lagos and the beach. There are pools and mini-golf, and Meia Praia beach is just a five-minute walk away.
