Giramar Apartamentos Turisticos

There’s a free pool right outside the building, and we really needed the washing machine, so that was a big help. The place was fabulous, clean, nice, and had everything we needed. We slept well in the good beds.

Town and Ponta da Piedade are both about a 20-minute walk away. We also made good use of the two balconies, one facing the street beside the kitchen and living area, the other looking toward the pool from the bedrooms. There are two pools, small and large, with plenty of loungers. The large one runs from 0.6m to 0.9m and reaches 1.5m deep. A Moroccan restaurant even delivers food to the poolside, and the rooms are cleaned daily. Inside, it's a lovely apartment with two comfortable bedrooms, a kitchen and living room, and a bathroom with a tub and shower. It also has an iron, ironing board, washing machine and drying rack. I highly recommend it!

The staff were easygoing, friendly and professional, and gave us useful suggestions for hikes, sights, places to eat and shopping. The Old Town and several beaches were also within an easy walk. I spent a week there in late September with my adult daughter and son, and all three of us were impressed. The apartment and facilities were very clean and comfortable. I've travelled extensively around the world as a Canadian, and would happily recommend this accommodation.

We could walk to the beaches or to the old town for its great restaurants and bars, even though the neighbourhood itself was quiet. The pool was beautiful and clean if you wanted that instead of the beach. Our apartment was roomy, had all the essentials, and felt like home. We had a great stay!
