Breakfast was a highlight of our stay at Hotel Dom Manuel. The included buffet was delicious and one of the top five we've come across in all our travels. There was homemade quiche, egg dishes, cheese, fresh fruit and vegetables, plus fresh vegetarian options. We only wish we'd planned to stay longer, and hope to return to beautiful Portugal. Our room was quaint, beautifully furnished and so comfortable, with a welcoming private balcony and a great bed for a good night's sleep. The complimentary coffee, tea and water were a nice extra. The hotel staff communicated well by email, greeted us warmly, and gave us wonderful help finding places to go. They even booked us a last minute cruise along the beautiful Lagos coast. We'd highly recommend this hotel if you're visiting Portugal's southern coast.

Beatrice, the cat who hangs around reception, was a sweetheart. The staff were courteous, and breakfast was delightful. It's a charming little hotel just outside the centre of Lagos, with a quiet, well appointed room.

The grounds feel like an oasis, with lush landscaping around the pool. Breakfast every day was fabulous, with a huge, delicious spread. The rooms were very clean, and there were plenty of linens for both the room and the beach. They also provide beach umbrellas if you ask, which was really convenient. The location was just right between the old town and Praia Dona Ana beach. Camilo and Porto De Mos were walkable too, though farther away, and there were plenty of Ubers around. The real gem here is the friendly, dedicated staff. They welcomed us warmly and checked in during the trip to make sure we had what we needed. We had such a relaxing holiday at Dom Manuel and hope to come back one day.

Best place I've stayed in, by far! Every staff member was amazing. The kitchen crew deserves a special shoutout, what an experience!

The sauna and steam room are free to book for 30 minutes a day, and the neighborhood is lovely for running or biking. We could park easily and still walk to the old city. Breakfast was mostly homemade and fantastic. When I asked about vegan food, the hostess kindly made me something right then, with other options on the following days too. There were vegetarian choices as well. A real gem in Lagos.
