The pool and sauna were fine, and the rooms were clean, but the stay didn't feel like four-star quality. The jacuzzi was broken, and no water, tea, or coffee was replenished. The shower was slow, weak, and dated. I had to ask for slippers, the lifts were very slow, and breakfast was average. The front desk could have been friendlier, although the cleaning staff and breakfast waiters were nice. It fell short of what I expected.

The breakfast buffet was included and a great value, and we'd definitely come back if we're in the area. From the start, everyone treated us kindly. The front desk staff were so sweet to my kid, giving her a couple of fresh cookies from the kitchen and making us feel special. The pool was warm and pleasant in winter, and we found fresh apples by the pool and gym, which was a nice surprise. I liked having room service and being able to order meals from the bar when the restaurants were closed, so it felt like there was always something to eat. They also brought my kid a coloring book and a bath kit. One suggestion: the night shift needs more coverage. There was just one person at the desk handling everything. Our issue was sorted out easily, but we had to come downstairs in pajamas because she couldn't leave to answer the phone. Adding one more night staff member would help if someone needs to go to a room or answer the desk phone. It didn't change my high opinion of the hotel, just a suggestion.

The kitchen team were so kind when our dog wouldn't eat his own food after the change of environment. They made him rice and chicken, and we were very grateful. We later learned that dogs can join you for breakfast in the bar area, so we'll know for next time. It's a clean, dog-friendly hotel, with a park right in front that was convenient for walks. The gift for our dog was a sweet touch, and the staff were friendly. Housekeeping missed a few things: the empty tissue box and the tea and sugar weren't replenished. A bottle of water in the room would've been nice. Still, I'd highly recommend it.
