Casa Paula Apartments

The notation and roof terrace were the best parts of this place. The apartment itself was a big disappointment, and Apt 4 is presented misleadingly in the advert. The balcony shown outside with a pool view belongs to a different apartment. What you actually get isn’t a balcony at all. It’s a corridor outside the lounge, with a bistro set by a glass panel overlooking the front door, stairwell and bins. It isn’t even outdoors. Inside, the photos make it look okay, but it’s very tired. The kitchen and microwave are old, though the bed was comfortable. All the bedroom rugs were stained. We paid for a room we didn’t get. Afterward I checked the low reviews on booking.com and found other guests saying the same, including that he’s rude and Apt 4 looks at a wall. I complained and have continued to do so since returning, but the host was rude and now ignores my messages and booking.com correspondence. He replied to my review there in a way that showed his rudeness, implying I was just after a refund. That’s rubbish. I can’t respond on booking.com, so I’ve edited this review. Don’t be fooled by his claim that my rehire is false. All my reviews are honest. If the apartment had been as advertised, I would have said so. Lots of customers say Dana, his staff member, is lovely and that he’s rude. He’s argued with every bit of negative feedback. A good host would listen and address it, not abuse customers.
