DBV Hostel e Guesthouse

The location is convenient, but we left after just ten minutes inside. Getting into the building had already taken about twenty minutes, with us waiting outside in the winter rain because the check-in staff were nowhere to be found. The facilities were in very poor condition: stained bedding, a bad smell, windows that wouldn’t shut all the way, heating and cooling units that didn’t work, and substantial mold in the bathroom. Save yourself the discomfort and find a less cheap room elsewhere.

The room was cramped, the mattresses were extremely soft and uncomfortable, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work. We were there in January, but there was no heater. The curtains didn’t block the light, and the thin walls let through all the noise from neighboring rooms. The terrace was too small to sit on. Early check-in costs $5, if you can reach the staff at all. There was no one there, and we couldn’t get in before 3 pm.

I booked 10 days in December 2025 for the end of March 2026 at €16,80 per night. Four days before check-in, while I was staying near Lagos, they canceled, saying it was an “overbooking mistake.” I did get a refund, but it makes me wonder whether a good price here might not be real, and they’ll cancel to get a better price from other guests.

It’s a simple place and room, but clean and equipped with everything you need. The man at check-in was very kind. We’re from Ukraine, and it was nice of him to show us support. Fair price and a good location.
