Carlos was generous with local information, from places to visit to how to get around, and even baked a fresh cake for breakfast. The hostel has a friendly mix of younger and older guests, and we met some nice people. It's easy to reach from the train or bus station, right in the city center, with shops, restaurants, and the beach very close. We stayed in a mixed four-bed room. At 12€ a night, there wasn't much to complain about, though the door sometimes stuck and left us locked in until someone came to help. There's a kitchen for simple meals, laundry washing and drying for 5€, and parasols you can borrow for the beach. Lagos and its coast are beautiful, and the Nations Hostel is somewhere I'd recommend any time.

It's everything you need, even if it's not the most luxurious place. This is a cozy hostel right in the center of Lagos, with great hosts and an amazing atmosphere in the living room.

A small room for a small price, with good staff and facilities. There was just one power outlet, so the bed was placed awkwardly in the middle of the room to plug in the lamp. A one-euro extension cord would have solved it.

The view was the only good thing. This was the worst hostel of the summer: dirty sheets, a door that was broken and wouldn't close, and a closet door that was off and broken. There were no lockers or anywhere to keep your things safe, and the staff were unfriendly.

The balcony view is priceless, and Carlos, the owner, is awesome. It’s a small hostel, and I’d happily recommend it.
