It’s budget friendly and in a great spot, very close to the beach, a small shop, and lovely cliff walks toward other beaches and The Grotto. Restaurants are about a 15 minute walk away. The staff were friendly. The rooms are tiny, with old timber furniture, and the bathroom is small too. There was no shower soap, so I was glad I’d brought my own. The fridge is tiny, and although tea and coffee were in the room, there was no milk. No view, either. There’s a front verandah open until 3pm where you can order food and drinks from the restaurant next door. I’m not sure whether it’s part of the accommodation or separate. It’s called Nauticus Restaurant Bar, but it was closed when we wanted dinner.

The air conditioning didn’t work. After a week of complaining, we got a fan and were told the owner didn’t want to do anything about it. The bathroom door lock is on the wrong side, and the fridge ran so hot that it warmed our room, so we had to move it into the bathroom. There were only two hangers for all our clothes. Towels were changed only if we asked, instead of every two days as advertised. The owner sleeps while young people at reception deal with complaints and do all the work. Even the staff call him “a disgusting person.” I could go on, but stay away from this dump. You could pay a fraction more somewhere else and get five times the service and accommodation value. I’ve stayed in straw shacks in better shape. Better off sleeping outside.

The location is amazing, right next to the beach, and the room was clean overall. But I won’t stay again. There’s no fridge, the rooms are tiny, and the old beds are hard and lumpy with equally uncomfortable pillows. The sheets smelled funny, and doors banged loudly all night, so bring ear plugs. Parking was very difficult to find during the day, and they only take cash, no credit cards.

This hotel was bad and dirty. Some days we didn’t get fresh towels, and the maid came in even though a do not disturb sign was up. The internet was out for two days. Stay away.

A peaceful, cozy place that’s good for families and close to Dona Ana beach. The people there were awesome, and we had a really nice stay.
