We’ve stayed here on our most recent pilgrimages to Fátima, but the quality has gone downhill sharply from one year to the next. This year the bathroom and bedrooms hadn’t been cleaned, and we had serious doubts that the bed linens had been changed. After a long, exhausting walk, we’d rather not dwell on that. The building also shows signs of deterioration and needs maintenance work. It’s far worse than it should be. Such a shame, because the location is great for pilgrims passing through Barracão.

They said arriving at 11 p.m. would be fine when I asked. I was walking to Fátima and got there exhausted, but no one picked up despite my repeated calls. I nearly fell asleep on the floor waiting. By the time they finally answered, it was 11:40, and I was already at Hotel Pombalense.

We were last-minute pilgrims and really appreciated how kind you were. The accommodation had very nice conditions, and we'd recommend it. Thanks again.

The hosts are so friendly, and it's a really pleasant place to stay. If you're walking to Fátima, it's a great spot to rest after a long trek. I'd definitely come back.

It was quiet and clean, and handy if you want to bring your own food. There's a fridge, microwave, and so on. The heating was the one downside. It was cold and switched off.
