Sant'Ana Guest House

I booked just one night at Sant'Ana Guest House, but wished I could have stayed longer. The room, washroom, and kitchen were nice and clean, and there was a nice balcony too. The service left me completely satisfied. It’s cheaper than the quality you get.

UNSAFE AND DANGEROUS!! ⚠️ My stay with Sofia, the property owner in Lisbon, was terrible and unsettling. At check-in I found that the advertised Wi-Fi wasn’t working. Sofia said she’d fix it within a few hours, but after I’d waited all day, I was told it wouldn’t be fixed and that I had to leave. Neighbours told me later the Wi-Fi had already been down for at least two days before I arrived, and that Sofia knew about it but hadn’t warned me. Then things became alarming and unprofessional. Sofia called me shouting and demanded my immigration details so she could report me to the authorities. She sent several people to my door, where they banged and demanded that I leave. I felt threatened and unsafe. I left within 15 minutes under a lot of stress, and still haven’t received the refund I was promised. I’ll file a complaint with the Portuguese authorities. This was dangerous and unacceptable. I don’t recommend this accommodation to anyone. No guest should be treated this way.

The welcome was lovely: a fantastic man came to open the door and show us around the place where we were staying. It’s central and easy to get to, yet very peaceful. Everything was spotless and in great condition, and the bed was super comfortable. There were several pillows, with spares in case we needed them. It’s well worth visiting. When I’m back in Leiria, I’ll choose this accommodation again.

I liked the place. It was clean and pleasant. The one problem was a woman upstairs walking back and forth all the time in hard-soled shoes. If you want to lie down a bit early and rest, it’s impossible to sleep. That’s why I can’t rate it higher.
