City Stays Belém Apartments

My parents found a strong sewer smell as soon as they walked into the flat, which was a shame after we'd picked it for its closeness to our home and the view from the church yard. Inside, it felt bare and sterile, just white walls and the basics, despite the warm look from the window. The towels and sheets were low quality, though there was a closet with a chest of drawers for their clothes. There was no welcoming touch or basic supplies either. Next time we'll suggest somewhere else for visitors.

I gave it one star because zero wasn't an option. Nearly everything was dirty, broken, or in poor shape. The towels were old, and the kitchen towel smelled rotten, like it had never been washed. At €80-100 a night, they could replace the towels, clean the place up, and repair the broken items.

Way too expensive for what you get. The electrical wiring is terrible, and the place was really dirty, from the kitchen to hair in the bathroom. There were other guests' receipts on the sofa, and it was full of bugs.

Everything felt basic, and the smell was unpleasant from the moment I entered the building, even though the apartment itself was okay. The people were hardly friendly or understanding. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it, and we'll choose other accommodation next time.
