Good rooms, a good location, and a good hostel, but I had a really unpleasant incident with the doorman, Fernando. I paid 30€ for the taxi from the airport to the hostel in central Lisbon and felt I’d gotten a cheap fare, so I gave the driver another 10€ as a tip. When Fernando came out to meet me, he asked the driver how much the fare was, saying it should only be 10€. They started arguing in front of the hostel, and I felt the driver was being treated unfairly after doing a good job and showing me around the city. I don’t believe an airport taxi in Europe costs only 10€ or 15€. Fernando seemed jealous, and I think he should be fired. Please don’t interfere with the taxi driver’s business.

Ben was accommodating when our arrival got delayed, and Monzer helped with the luggage and quickly answered our questions over WhatsApp. We felt very well looked after and would happily return to Marquês Best Apartments. The apartment was clean, modern, and had everything we needed, including a full kitchen and comfortable furnishings. Housekeeping kept it spotless. The location was convenient, close to the city centre but in a peaceful area with plenty of good restaurants and cafés nearby. Public transport was easy to use.

For a holiday in Portugal, with or without a car, I’d recommend this luxury apartment if you want somewhere well located in the city center. Each apartment has high-tech features like air conditioning and heating, plus heated floors for winter. Fernando welcomed us on arrival and helped us out, muito obrigado Fernando!

Housekeeping came every two days during our several-night stay, and the cleaning was thorough each time. The attention to detail stood out. The room was extremely clean, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed. We had a very comfortable and pleasant five-night stay, and would definitely come back.

The apartments are clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a lovely garden and pool. The metro, grocery store, and restaurants are just a few steps away.
